We've got a lot of new updates since our last one in June! We hope you're gonna enjoy the changes and upgrades that we've made so far. So, let's get right into it 😉
Updates include:
• A tonne of bug fixes, crash fixes and optimisations to make the app run more swiftly - this is most visible on the Connect section, so while you're there, you might as well add and chat with new buddies! 😋
• Offline caching for all posts - i.e. faster load times! (scroll seamlessly on the go and not be affected by through-a-tunnel interferences!)
• Smoother navigation on the app (we've refactored a lot under the hood 🕵🏽♂️)
• Interests are back in connect 🏂🎶🌱 (go wild and filter interests to find the right travel buddy!)
• We've also made it so that you can swipe through all of your future buddies's interests within the same spot for ease 😇

Over here in the UK, the sun is shining and the days are getting longer! ☀️🤩 What's the weather like where you are?
Since the last update, our lead Android dev has been making the most of the sunny weather surfing and climbing (and all things adventurous!) 🧗🏼♂️🏄🏽
But fret not! Like his surf skills, he's been swift with the bugfixes 🤙🏽
Updates include:
• Smart refresh - feed will no longer refresh when users go into comments or images and back
• Optimisations and app speed increases
• Lots of bugfixes on notifications screen; most notably, push notfications now work when someone sends you a friend request 👫

Earlier last week, someone mentioned how they don't always have something to say when Posting a photo on Buddyng. They'd also expressed how having to write a few words to accompany each photo made them less enthusiastic about posting on the app. So, we listened and made some adjustments!
Update this week:
• You no longer need to write something when Posting a photo on Buddyng app 😊

Over the next few weeks, we'll be dedicating this time to focus on polishing the app for a seamless experience. So if you've found something on the app that hasn't quite worked as you'd have expected it to, we'd love to hear from you!
Since our soft launch, we've already received messages on our Instagram from you guys telling us how much you've enjoyed seeing Buddyng grow and feedback on parts of the app that didn't work so well. In response to this, we've made amendments accordingly!
Updates include:
• Connect screen now the initial screen upon logging in (we heard from you all that Connect was the most interesting!)
• Making your Trip Albums viewable in the Trips section (sorry... they just wanted to play hide-and-seek! At least we've found them now 😅)
• Making your Posts viewable within your Trips (just like the Trip albums, the Posts were in on the game too 🙈)
• Making your photos viewable when creating a post (as above 🙊)
• Fixing the issue of the navigation bar making random appearances (we'd really appreciate it if you guys let us know if you think a navigation bar should/shouldn't be somewhere)
• Centralising your bio (because you're a star, and what you write should be the centre of attention 😉🌟)
• Updating in-app text and classification

Exciting news! Buddyng app is now available to download for anyone with access to Google Play Store (and iOS App Store) 🎉📱
In line with Google Play Store requirements, we've improved the Buddyng app experience for more people to enjoy. So get your family and friends on board!
Updates include:
• A bunch of bug fixes!
• Fixing issues with searching for other users in Connect
• Fixing issues with user experience when viewing an image post in (and out of) full screen
• Adding a loading dial to let you guys know that the app is working 😅🌀 (just taking a second or two to load!!)
• Changing our green tab bars to be the same across Inspire & Connect screens
• Images now orientated as expected (sorry for the crooked necks whenever an image unexpectedly uploaded sideways! 🥺)

At Buddyng, we believe in the power of having a strong community. With this in mind, we've built this feature so that you can inspire your close community (i.e. your buddies) with the Posts and Safety Tips that left an 'Oooh!' or 'Wow!' impression on you.

Since our last update, we’ve been going through the list of bugs that the community have raised to our attention and have been diligently fixing them for better app experience! Alongside bugfixes, we've also built out Notifications so that you can stay connected with others and receive instant updates from your social circle. Notifications also help us at Buddyng to connect and communicate with everyone easier - because we know that pesky emails can get annoying! ✉️ 👀
